We envision KavaCon as the leading global platform that bridges ancient kava traditions with the evolving kava industry. Through connection, education, and celebration, we aim to strengthen the kava community and its presence worldwide.
What is Kava?
Kava is a traditional Pacific Island beverage made from the root of the kava plant (Piper methysticum). Known for its calming and sociable effects, kava has been used for centuries in cultural, religious, and social settings.
The kava plant is a member of the pepper family and is native to the South Pacific islands. Its roots are harvested, dried, and ground into a powder, which is then mixed with water to create the traditional kava drink.
At KavaCon, we focus exclusively on facilitating a convention for the kava industry and its commercial aspects. While we acknowledge that kava originates from many islands across the Pacific where it holds profound cultural significance, our event is distinctly separate from these cultural traditions. Our mission is simply to provide a space for kava enthusiasts and industry professionals to connect, have fun, and build relationships within the commercial kava community.
KavaCon will also feature booths with botanical teas.
